Wait, what?
I like to match my mount to what I'm wearing. I can't be the only one. In the old days I would just scroll through the mount list and find the one I liked. With so many mounts now, I wanted a way to quickly just select a color that matches what I'm wearing and show the corresponding mount. Transmog and mounts are the real endgame.
Oh okay, how does it work?
Blizzard's mount API provides render images for each mount. We use vision AI to analyze each image and identify the primary, secondary, and accent colors. The AI understands context, so it correctly identifies mount colors while ignoring background shadows and lighting artifacts.
How many mounts are analyzed?
We've analyzed over 1500 mounts so far. New mounts are added automatically as they're discovered in the game data.
I see a mount that doesn't have the right color.
Yeah, it's bound to happen. Most of the mounts are in good shape but the vision model sometimes incorrectly differentiates between body color and armor or accent. I am working on spot checking. For the most part, though, it seems to work okay.
